In celebration of one of my favourite authors, Celeste Ng, releasing her third book in a few weeks, I thought I'd share some of the new books I'm most looking forward to coming out. Be warned that most of them are sequels to novels I've already read, but that's all the more reason to read the first book and introduce yourself to a great new series!

Our Missing Hearts, Celeste Ng - expected 04/10/22

Celeste Ng has been a favourite of mine ever since I first read Little Fires Everywhere when I was in Year 12 at school, and I've been eagerly awaiting her next book all year. Ng beautifully crafts the nuanced relationships between all of her characters, and I look forward to her breaking my heart again in a few weeks with her gorgeous writing.

The Odyssey, Stephen Fry - expected 22/10/22

Following on from the success of Mythos and Troy, Fry brings us his new take on Homer's The Odyssey. Troy received praise for being a different take on adapting The Iliad - offering analysis as well as translation - so fans of ancient history should be excited for this new release.

The Atlas Paradox, Olivie Blake - expected 25/10/22

October 2022 is looking good, isn't it? The Atlas Paradox is the sequel to the BookTok hit The Atlas Six, a dark academia novel that I particularly enjoyed for the way that it made magic almost scientific (and plausible? sort of?).

Hell Bent, Leigh Bardugo - expected 10/01/23

Another dark academia novel, this book also blends magic and the supernatural together with higher education (what could possibly go wrong?). I enjoyed the first book for its more gothic creepier take on dark academia, and I eagerly await the resolution to the cliffhanger that the first book ended on.

A Day of Fallen Night, Samantha Shannon - expected 28/02/23

If you've read any of my previous posts you'll know how much I loved The Priory of the Orange Tree, and whilst A Day of Fallen Night is a prequel and not a sequel, I'm very excited to be drawn back into Samantha Shannon's beautifully crafted world.
